I plan to use my old Macbook model late 2009 to purchase and download the Rapidweaver8, since the security of this model can no longer be updated, Is it safe to download the rapidweaver8 ?
Is there anybody can suggest a precautionary step to do before i download to make it safe ?

You didn’t say what version macOS you’re running, RapidWeaver 8 Requires Mac OS X 10.12 or newer.
As for safety if you feel unsure, you can still purchase RW8 from the App Store, but I wouldn’t hesitate to download from the official RealMac site:

I have a Macbook pro 15 late 2008 running 10.11.6, which is the maximum OS available for this model. Since it is not possible to acquire a new machine to run Rapid Weaver, I wonder which version ,fully capable, should I buy and download from realmacsoftware as the version I am currently using is version 4.1 which no longer is suitable for a modern look and other features.
