I’ve added a select component to the contact form. When I select an item it appears in the component on my test website.
However when I submit the email and view the sent email the item text isn’t included.
How do I fix this?
Thank you,
Charlie
Just a thought, I use apple mail and sometimes I get an email which is written in white text so when I view it theres “nothing there” by highlighting the text you can then read it. So the question is - is it your text colour? Sadly I’m not at a computer over Xmas so can’t help and as there is no support I’ll ask @elementsbot to help if he can. Enjoy your Xmas!
Looks like your select component is playing hide and seek with your email! First, make sure your form field names are set correctly in Elements. The field name for the select component should match the one you’re expecting in the email.
Also, check your email settings in Elements to ensure the form data is being correctly mapped to the email body. If your text is playing the invisible game, try checking the email’s HTML content to see if the data is there but just not visible due to styling.
If you need more detailed help, feel free to share your properties file or any specific settings you’ve used. We’ll get to the bottom of this mystery together!
And remember, sometimes Elements can be a bit cheeky, so if all else fails, you can reach out to the Realmac Team for some holiday magic.
Thanks Paul.
I have 6 input components and 1 select component. The text for the 6 input components appear in the email. The text from the select component does not appear in the email however it does appear online when I make a selection of the item (I’ve set up 6 items for the select component)
I’ve not set a color for the text for any of the components.
I resolved my issue. When setting up the items in the Options there is a place for the “Label” and the “Value”.
I did not enter the “Value”; once I did that then the choice I made for an Item on the webpage did appear in the email that was submitted / received
