@tjrob I certainly understand your reasons for not using RW. I think all of it was intuitive to me as I first started with RW. A bit later came Stacks. A bit later (years) came frameworks. So I wasn’t learning all that stuff at once.
The lack of a manual is, I confess, a sore spot. It doesn’t impact me personally but I think a number of newcomers would really benefit from a manual.
RW has an “odd” history. At this point in time most people would say Stacks is more important than RW. And then there’s a bunch of folks using frameworks. So if a manual were to be created then there would need to be cooperation from key plays: RealMac to describe the RW specific components, YourHead to describe Stacks and how it works, and some others to describe frameworks and or advanced themes. It’s all very doable (as I see it) but for some reason it hasn’t happened. Videos are great for some folks, but an easy -to -reference basic manual would be very helpful for many.
