How will the reader interact if he wants to share a page?

Hi and good day,

After watching
RapidWeaver 8 Social Media Meta Tags - YouTube

how does the
I’ve set everything - as in the video.

QUESTION:

How will the reader interact if he wants to share a page?

Yes there is a stack for this:
SEO and Social Sharing

But this can be done with a simple HTML stack, with the sharing/ tweet code inside.

Am I missing something here?

You can do almost anything with the HTML stack if you put the proper code inside it.

The link you gave is for poster 2, not sure if this is what you are asking about.

With all this hassle re: the Social Meta Tags in RW (those to be generated by RW)

Jumbled Social Tags - RapidWeaver / General - RapidWeaver Forums

I’m wondering

WHAT DO THOSE TAGS DO, WHAT IS THEIR PURPOSE?

Social Media tags are what gets displayed on the social media site or app when someone shares a link to that page.

So for example, if a user shares a link on Facebook, FB will grab that data (image, description, etc, etc ) and display that instead of just a plain link. If you don’t have that metadata, they will often make their own based on the content of the page.

Keep in mind that social media sites will not go live everytime someone shares a URL on a post.
Like search engines, they cache this data. You can, have them rescrape the page.

This sentence I din’t understand, can you please rephrase it:

In any case, I tested it with the Social Media Meta Tags in the HEAD, and it turns out just fine!
