Markdown Tables

I need to create a table, and it’s pretty easy using markdown, but my table automatically has an alternating color background (white, light grey). I need a transparent background. I am using Foundation, so tried adding a custom class for a transparent bg, but that had no effect. I’m just using a regular text stack, but something about the table components in the markdown (|:----:|) is creating a background. Anyone know how to change that?

That is just the default table styles in Foundation. The swatch pack has a new table styles swatch. You can check it out in the demos.
