I was one of the beta testers for Seams, making something ‘appear’ simple to use is harder than it looks, a lot of work/time went into the ease of use along with its functionality.
This is true of nearly all stacks, an idea for a stack maybe simple (or complex) in concept but executing it AND making it so that we (the users) can just pop the stack on our page, change a couple of settings and move on is a skill and takes time.
Simple is always the hardest to achieve…
Would this stack run smoothly with Foundry?
I allowed myself to appreciate the relevance/price ratio of this product by considering that its promise does not correspond perhaps to a wait so frequent that that and that a very simple alternative exists by drawing the profile with a software like Illustrator, Affinity Designer, Sketch, PhotoShop …
But, this is only my appreciation: I am a frugal hacker in the soul! …
Here’s another very simple example of Seams to top and tail a page, got’a love the ease of use with this stack.

Looking great, Paul, would all these sample files be included with the purchase of the Seams Stack?
Non of my stuff is in the Seams Demo project, the above is just my playing. The Melody one is the start of a real project that I’m waiting for content for.
Seams has a demo Project, check the FAQ section on the Seams page: https://www.weavers.space/rapidweaver/stacks/seams
Ok Paul, thanks for your response. Your Melody one is really impressive
Only the top and bottom of the Melody page is Seams … obviously
The animated logo is done with https://maxwellito.github.io/vivus-instant/ and SectionsPro animate
You can’t simply make a shape in Affinity or like app and plop it on the page and get the same results as seams. Seams gives you the ability to use your own SVG though with the external stack. I will need to do a video do help explain how to get that done. It’s just simply linking to the image.
Seams will work great in Foundry and should in any other theme. Although traditional themes don’t often allow you to place content full width.
Is there an animationsetup somewhere - somehow that gives you the ability to have things move from left to right through the viewport and when disapeared on the right it starts again from the left - or viseversa?
ScrollMate (https://www.bigwhiteduck.com/stacks/scrollmate2/) enables you to have content move as you scroll the page (checkout the SM demo page), you would just give it a starting point of -100 and and ending point of +100 to have it move left to right.
SectionsPro animate will do similar/more but the anim is triggered either when in view (like my Seams test above), on page load or hover
Hey Paul,
yes, I know SM2, but I’m looking for an infinite motion without scrolling.
I didn’t see the possibility for infinite motion from left to right or viseversa in SectionPro animation.
Am I missing something?
I have plans to add animation directly into Seams. However, I am not sure what sort of animation I will add yet. If I am thinking of the animation that you are wanting, something like an infinite wave, I will see what can be done but cannot promise that.
That’ll be perfect, Joe. Looking forward to see the update-hint in RW ;o)
I am going LIVE on YouTube at 11am PST (one hour from this post). I will be giving a walkthrough of Seams and also a sneak peak at the new animations that I am building for it.
Live Chat is available when you watch from the YouTube website.
Awesome! Thanks to everyone who joined. You can watch the live stream immediately at the link above
Although I couldn’t make the Live Stream I was able to watch over breakfast and picked up some very handy and useful tips - these vids really are great and help immensely !! - I hope more such tutorials will be forthcoming.
I just wanted to give you guys a small sneak peak at the animations that I have been working on for Seams. They have come out better than I was originally anticipating!
They look at git jumpy because of the gig format (and the repeat). In real life, these animations are smoother than silk…
