Sorry, not sure what your mean. Your post says you have a fixed depth stack and I was hoping you would send a copy to me. You have referred me back to the post. I have already emailed you as you suggested. Perhaps this response has crossed with my email?
Send him an email if you want the repaired version of the broken depth stack. Also, make sure you put the subject line the way he has asked.
From his post above:
When you send your email, make sure your email subject line reads āDepth Update Request.ā I will get back to people as soon as possible, but please understand that my regular support and work comes first. My email address is adam at elixirgraphics dot com
Not a problem @Roy. Glad you got it and youāre all set.
Iāve fulfilled a lot of requests for this update. If any of you know of someone who owns and uses Depth and might not know about this thread, let them know and point them to this post:
Also, Iāve had a few people in their correspondence with me regarding Depth updates ask if they could donate something to me for taking this on. Iām not looking for any monetary compensation for helping out. I really appreciate the offers. It is very thoughtful of those that have extended them. Iām just trying to get things working for everyone affected.
If youāre dead set on doing something in exchange for this update maybe consider one of the following:
REVIEW: If you donāt have the money for a donation, perhaps just leave a review for a product of mine that you use on the RapidWeaver Community Site: Alloy, Foundry, Abstract, Flat Button, Lunar, etc.
One more update here⦠Iāve received a couple of emails this morning requesting the update and the emailers seem to be under the impression that Iāve taken over Depth and possible other products from Nick Cates. That is not the case. I have no control over any of the products, how theyāre sold, updated, or anything else. Iām simply working to get this problem resolved for users. That is where my involvement with things ends.
āPosting my products for free on github harms other developers, as well as passing my products to another developer. No option is ideal in all honesty.āā¦
⦠in this way you only harm your customers, many of whom believed in you and bought your products only a few months ago ⦠I donāt know what is more correct ā¦
I just wanted to let everyone here know that I have officially come to an agreement with @nickcates to take over his stacks (just the stacks, no themes). I will make an official announcement thread about with with details soon.
However, since its very relevant to this thread, I will not be re-releasing Depth for purchase. However, if @Elixir would like to send me the details of what he was able to fix, I will gladly distribute it out to all existing Depth users.
@joeworkman ā You should speak with Nick. Iāve already told him how to fix the problem on September 28. I donāt think it is my place to intervene here since you all have worked out a business deal.
I have just found this out and also having problems with Depth & Safari. Why oh why canāt people/businesses actually communicate with their customers about what their plans are instead of leaving people high and dry and with problems. To be fair I have had great customer service from Nick for a good few years but to just disappear without letting people know isnāt the best.
Right then that money was wasted on Depth time to look into something else maybe time to leave RW as a platform.
There will be no long term support for Depth. While I will be re-releasing and supporting all other stacks from NCD, Depth will not be one.
As a nice gesture, I offered to help get this update out to existing users. However, I have not received the fix in order to do so. Once I do receive a fix, I will happily email it to all users with a note that this will be the very last update to the product.
