Overide Banner in Engineer theme

Hi,

I am trying to replace the banner in the Engineer theme, and replace it using a bootstrap carousel instead. Any ideas how I can do this? At the moment I can get this to load behind the default hero image, but the default image obscures this.

I have tried to add this in as an HTML file from resources but it just displays a grey screen?

I want the banner to appear in the hero container, rather than the same width as the text

Any ideas?
