No updates for my Capitan, so I’m up to date
You can get older versions here
In fact, I would get my updates that way from now on.
Same problem here, as I already mentioned in this post. Since v7.1.5 (including 7.1.6) RW hangs immediately after clicking Publish or Save (spinning beach ball). Have to force quit the app. No macOS updates available (Sierra).
Crashing here as well every time I try to export. Going back a version now.
Thanks Zeebe!
It was worth having the issue, just to learn how to revert to a previous version when having a problem.
Thanks to all for your help! I guess we will just have to revert and then wait for RapidWeaver to identify the issue that we are experiencing.
Rant on: The development team seems to be feature-happy but has forgotten BASIC testing with the last few updates. I know that adding features is sexier than de-bugging, but come on, if your product can’t publish or export, it’s dead in the water.
Several times a day, I see the Crash Reporter and I dutifully send in the details. It doesn’t seem to matter. The crash reporter has become like a frequent pop-up ad that says, "Buy another product."
This current path of releasing new versions without testing them is almost suicidal for RealMac. Do you want to stay in business? If you do, STOP ADDING FEATURES and release software that’s stable and useful. I don’t care what sort of features, developer’s APIs, or whatever “should” be added. It doesn’t matter to developers and it doesn’t matter to me if RapidWeaver’s only ability is to take up space on a hard drive.
Rant off.
Same problem here !
So, are they gonna do something ?
Same problem here. Rapidweaver crashes on publish or export 100% of the time. RW 7.1.6 on OSX El Capitan 10.11.6.
Reverting to RW 7.1.5 fixes the problem. (Previous version was ‘safely stored’ in my Trash - so no need to download!)
@LaPan Mac OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan
Exactly the same problem - have tried several projects and all the same. Crashes every time. And I thought the Crash Reporter had been fixed? I haven’t been able to use that for ages and no change now.
Thanks for the feedback guys, we’re looking into it right now!
Sorry for the issues, previous versions are always available here:
We’ll have an update out later today, sorry for the trouble!
UPDATE: We can’t re-create the issue here, can someone send us a project that crashes?
Can you send it to dan@realmacsoftware.com - as soon as I have a project that crashes we’ll get it fixed.
Same issue here- went back to previous version
Did you send the project to dan?
New build is up - RapidWeaver 7.1.7 - this should fix the issue for you all. Sorry about the delay.
Happy Weaving!
Amazing, how fast RW gets things fixed. I did not even have the time to make my 7.1.6 crash! (-;
7.1.7 fixed it for me. Well done guys - can’t argue with a same day fix.
Now I know what you’re thinkin’ - Do I now upgrade from 7.1.5 to 7.1.7? Do I feel lucky? Eh? Hmmm?
7.1.7 did not fix the issue for me. I am still seeing “index out of bounds” when trying to preview or publish
Fixed the issue for me too.
