Can you explain why I need to register at DevMate in order to download RapidWeaver 7.4, please?

I have clicked the “Download RapidWeaver 7.4” link on this page: https://kb.realmacsoftware.com/article/88-rapidweaver-7-4. Although, when I just tried it again, the download started as expected.

So, I think that old link to DevMate was a remnant from the time when RW 7.4 was still “under construction”?
