Stacks uses customized native buttons. Dark mode made this a bit more work, but I think the results turned out pretty good.
Here’s another blog post with details about some of the upcoming changes in Stacks 4 and the work I’ve been doing to support dark mode in a more complete way.
And even a sneaky hint at one of the new features. What’s that’s orange button? And what does it do?
There is a competitor app that’s also in beta testing right now. The developer of that app seems a little too interested in Stacks features and the features of the Stacks API.
So this time around I’m trying to keep things a little secret. I still let details slip out. I’m not very good at keeping secrets. But I’ll at least try.
As I get closer to a public beta it will obviously become a lot more open. So not very long to wait now.
@pmjd - i’m hoping to start developer betas in less than two weeks. then public a bit after that.
need to give the developers a little time to adjust ot the dark mode settings. but other than that, the developers should have an easy time of it, there are no big API changes in the version. this upgrade is all about user-features and making the workflow smoother.
