Total CMS Markdown inline editor issue

Maybe Joe or Z can chime in on this one.

Using Markdown editor causes inline/static editor when text is highlighted to look funky and malformed. Any ideas what might be causing this? See screenshot. The image doesn’t show highlighted text but it is on this end…FYI
