Why am I getting a white space

In a new Elements project I am getting a strip of white space on the right edge that only appears on my iPhone in the vertical position, It does not appear on iPhone horizontal, on my iPad, or on my Mac.

Is this the same solution here Look on iPhone vs designer view

Many thanks Paul, I checked “Sizing” and a couple of settings were on Breakpoint, but that didn’t fix the issue. When I checked “Content Layout” most of the settings were set for breakpoint, I changed them to Full and that seemed to fix the issue.

What is concerning is that I didn’t set them to Breakpoint. Do you know if Breakpoint is the default setting?

Anyway, I appreciate your help!

Yes, breakpoint is the default setting.

@Sundogg If you share your project via Elements Cloud and post the link here we can take a look for you.

Thanks Dan! I think I fixed the issue, but you are welcome to look at the project.

Hopefully this is the link

Peter is this project you have posted fixed?

I believe my project is fixed now, at least viewing my website on my iPhone looks correct.

The project you posted does have a few issues a lot of float in the layout at mobile

I just fixed another issue with a paragraph being wider than the others. Now that it’s fixed, the iPhone issue reappeared. I am sure there are other issues.

@Sundogg

still a few more issues to sort out after this, quick look images not centered, dark mode needs adjusting, not checked any more correct those and see what happens, there are text setting issues as well

some of these settings are different across screen sizes, not sure why you have all those sig’s in the footer

I was aware that some images were not centered, and that the dark mode made some sections unreadable, but I hadn’t looked into figuring out how to fix those yet. I downloaded your video and slowed it down and copied your corrections. I appreciate you taking the time to show me.

No probs, if you need more help just let me know, saw some text issues and other issues as well.

If you check each container etc for padding margins width also using the guides turned on and check for float in the mobile screen first, to see additional width beyond screen size

running out of cleanshot space need to delete some, still a few issues left

Thanks Steve, I will go over the new video as soon as I have time. I’ve made a good bit of changes since my upgrade. I’ve run into issues with custom colors not always working for text or backgrounds. But right now I am stumped that on the computer view my drop down menu appears behind my Banner or behind my book cover if I remove the Banner.

I spent 5 mins starting your site again removed a lot of settings and containers, ignore colors

Thanks again Steve. I didn’t see any changes in the last video, but I made the earlier changes and more. This is what I am talking about with the Menu showing up behind the Banner.

Can you post your current project here, can then correct the remaining issues, that will just be a z index issue

my last video just showed you can use less components to get the same

Here is the latest version of my project:

a couple of changes shown, most of the time there is no need to use padding and margins to position, especially centering

Im running out of space to record videos

not sure why you have the menu on the first page in ‘everything’, a lot of components in there, same for other pages

not sure why you need a menu in a menu, it would be good to sort out your menu for each page
