recently I upgraded my Mac to macOS Sonoma. Having done that, Dropbox told me, I had to upgrade it as well, as Dropbox would now need to be in a new location. So I did. Finally the whole setup was done, I wanted to work further on my website-projects, when I came across the following error message when previewing the site:
Site Export Failed
Error: Couldn’t write the site logo to the export folder at
This is really worrying me. The files used are still on my computer, but my guess would be, that the link to the resources folder may not have updated itself. I neither found a way to do it manually.
Normally when there is a linking problem to resource-files, I got a windows saying so, and let me re-link the files. Not this time.
Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it?
btw: I also did a fresh reinstall of the whole system on my iMac (Intel) → Same problem as on my MacBook, both running Sonoma with latest updates and updated Dropbox. This problem not only occurs on one project, but all of mine (7). Maybe this helps finding the problem.
Thanks Dan, your response is appreciated. But before I try this…if I remove the site logo, can I add it back later? Also, is there any reason why the site logo restricts the upload?
Removing the logo is a test to see if we can isolate the issue. If publishing works once the logo is removed then it gives us a hint that it might be something to do with that file. We could then try adding a new logo/file and seeing if publishing works.
