This is a hard one to report accurately. I have been running into problems where I perform a manual SAVE, which does not clear the dirty flag in the close icon. After performing the SAVE if I try to QUIT the app it will ask me if I want to save my changes. I say yes and the app does not quit. If I look at the quit menu item it is disabled.
After this happens the only way I can quit is by doing a FORCE QUIT.
The changes are being saved when this happens, but I’m unsure if they are being saved when I first do the save, or when the app asks me to save when trying to quit.
I have no idea why or when this started happening as I wasn’t paying close attention. I generally do a save after any change I make, but just happened to notice at some point the the dirty flag was not being cleared.
I have subsequently tested it our three or four times and it happens consistently.
I have observed something like this several times, but cannot reproduce the behaviour. I would say that it occurs when you make a lot of changes to different pages.
While it sounds weird, I think it is related to resources.
Whenever I open my project, and thumbnails aren’t populated (or fully populated), it will hang on closing or saving and I have to force quit. When thumbnails are fully populated, no issues.
Dan, for me this now happens every time I do a save or try to quit. I did discover that if I try to quit it will ask me to save and then it appears to not quit. But if you wait a couple of minutes it will actually finally quit. I was typically to impatient so I would force quit.
I got a totally different problem with quitting and saving. I played around with the new support for icons in buttons (won’t let me add an SVG BTW), and then tried to QUIT the app without saving the changes. It put up a dialog saying the app was saving and did I want to wait. I said I would wait and then the app was hung and eventually asked me if I wanted to force quit, which I did.
