Hi there. In the past i’m using MailDesigner to create html-emails to send and share with mailchimp.
At the moment Maildesigner is only available as a year-subscription. I’m now looking at different options and found “Email for Rapidweaver” by Joe Workman.
Has anyone an idea if i can also use Foundation for this ?? The email for rapidwaever looks like an simple copy of Foundation and i don’t want to spend extra money for something i already use. (bought Foundation)
You can not use Foundation for this, because HTML-Emails are using very limited code (back to the 90s). Email for Rapidweaver by Joe is based on Foundation for Emails for this reason. It is the best solution for creating HTML-Emails right now.
You may want to consider the free Mailshot application by Doobox. It’s a standalone app, but it generates code that can be easily integrated with RW or other software.
I use Mailshot for generating email templates for use within Sitelok.
Email for RapidWeaver if completely different from Foundation. Obviously there are similarities in how they are used. I designed the Email stacks to look familiar to Foundation users so that is was a seamless transition for many users.
Worth mentioning that mailshot doesn’t work on El Capitan. Worth a try if you are on Sierra or higher. @willwood mentioned a free web based solution, which lies Iles good, but didn’t render as well for me in Serialmailer. Have yet to properly try Joe’s stacks in action, but they are great fun so far!
Thanks for your comments. At the moment i’ve purchased “Dragon RED email Designer” for a cheap price (€27,00) and will give this app a try. It works almost the same as Maildesigner and is no subscription-base, has an export function for Mailchimp and looks not to complicated.
I’ll give RED a try and maybe i will make the switch to Email-Stacks if they have a better price.
Maybe you give an discount to all switchers from other newsletter-builders??
Thanks for the Weaver-radio link. Will listen to the information in it.
