Bug report: Open in a new window on an offsite page not working

I am creating a sub menu to some external sites.
I thought I was doing the right thing…
just check the box to open the page in a new window…
But it is not working.
I hope @dan might be able to help me.
I opened the code and I can see the rel=""
I edited the code to rel=“external” and it all works.
But this is site wide and a pain to fix…any ideas?

Ah @joemart1951 - it depend on the theme. Sometimes there’s a JS clash. What theme are you using?

You could add target=_"blank" to your links … but might take a while if you have a few and site wide as you say

In a quick test open in new window links work in Foundation (and RW8) so it might be another Stack on the page clashing…? Not sure.

Can you share a test link / staging page for others to take a look?

Can you share RW screens of how you are adding these?

It is an offsite page with the open in a new window checked…but the code leaves the rel=“”
