I did the same. With Pluskit 4.0.1 everything now is working fine.

There were still a few users experiencing trouble publishing with PlusKit (same symptom, but totally different root-cause) – we just released 4.0.2 that should help out those users. Both beta and final release users should see an update on their next launch.
