I would have a question
you can normally set the dark mode under:
‘Perferences’ / ‘General’ or?
I don’t find anything there (see screenshot)

There’s also a setting if I remember in stacks preferences.

Yup, this is correct, it uses the mode the Mac is in.

In addition to RapidWeaver using the system mode, Stacks 4 has Appearance settings for Library, Edit, and sidebar info:
