Disable parent page link in nav bar

Using RW 7, I would like to disable parent page links in the nav bar.
It must be possible because I have a couple of themes that do this by default.
The NoLink stack is not an option.

You could use the Offsite page type to do this.

Create a new Offsite page called ‘Services’
Don’t link it to anything
Add sub pages and populate them with content

The main ‘Services’ menu item will simply open the sub pages but doesn’t have any content and doesn’t ‘go’ anywhere.

Thanks. That looks good. I would need to name it with the relevant category though.
I wonder how these theme developers incorporate this effect into their themes.

‘Services’ was just an example. Since it’s a page type you can call it anything you like.
