RW resources area Akrobat-Bold/
Akrobat-Black is the same
I am only getting .otf and .ttf files aren’t I?
Please follow the description.

The fonts must be integrated into the resources area of your RapidWeaver project. Create a folder with the name fonts (case sensitive) underneath the resources area, and insert the 4 different files (eot, woff, ttf, svg) into it. In order to simplify, make sure no spaces (blanks) or special characters are inside the file name. All 4 files need to have the same name (beside the file type extention). For reference, see the first of the setting pictures. Drag and drop the Stack into your page. As Font Family Name, use the file name (case sensitive), without the file type extention.
I’ve tried this 2 or 3 times. Filenames with no spaces default to Helvetica within RW which defeats the object.
This ping pong does not make sense.
Please get back when you have followed the description and with screenshots that your web server contains the correct setup.
Maybe I can bridge Not 100%, since I am not at my computer, I am guessing, it is a simple misunderstanding (Jannis can correct me).
E.g. in your case, you could use as font name “AkrobatBold” (no blanks or special characters). Then all font files will have to be named “AkrobatBold.eot”, respectively. In the Stack you will then refer to this font via the name “AkrobatBold”. You can then add the other four files “AkrobatBlack” in the same fashion to the “fonts” folder.
Give it a try
Progress …of sorts.
I freshly downloaded Akrobat WEB fonts direct from Font Fabric Foundry.
They supply .eot .woff .woff2
They assure me these work in hundreds of websites in this format…which is for instance…Akrobat-Bold etc.
I have taken the advice to create a ‘fonts’ folder in resources and upload these webfonts to it.
It seems I have successfully got a full functioning HOME page on several different platforms including iPad and Android mobile phone…but all the other pages are still defaulting to the dreaded Helvetica.
This just gets weirder and weirder
BTW using AkrobatBold format just doesn’t work within RW ???

Further to the previous reply…
I have changed the font formats so often that I realise I need to change all the pages to Akrobat-Bold format.
Good to hear, that you starting to resolve some issues. If your home page is working using the e.g. “Akrobat-Bold” naming, perfect, then no need to remove the “-“ … as you mentioned yourself, once it works on some pages, it’s time to replicate it and clean up all the desperate testing remnants
I don’t know whether the RW preview is able to show the custom fonts - I would guess so. However, if you can verify the layout in the browser (local or from the server), you are already a big step further.
I now have 2 fully functioning websites…fonts and all.
Apart from a couple of minor anomalies…they work well on the external platforms that I can access…like iPad and Android phone. I am waiting for other users’ feedback.
So thanks to all those useful folk that responded…with special thanks to Gerd Klose for coming up with the final piece of the puzzle. I am astounded the simple answer was not in the tutorial…but hey.
ehm… Help me - which one?
Hi Jannis,
it’s just a misunderstanding of your description. I think, if you would make the tiny change from
… create a folder with the name fonts (case sensitive) …
to
… create a folder with the name “fonts” (case sensitive) …
it could help to make it even more obvious in the description.
