Normally I use the Site image stack, which works just fine.
But sometimes I need more granularity for the individual sizes.
One can of course use the on/off Hide switch (for devices), but there’s probably a better way?

Have a look at srcerer from shaking the habitual, can target different pics for a lot of different screen sizes.
That only hides what you turn off. All the images will still load on every size.
