This is what it looks like. The browser window is at the bottom and the caption is right above it but I want it to ignore the browser window and sit tighter to the image.

To all the code-pros and the dev team: can this new element be combined with the elements CMS / markdown and the lingo used there? To be precise, f.e. can I combine the gallery pro as an oveview of the posts of a elements blog? If not, @dan would this be an idea for the future?
I love that Elements is like a Lego set, allowing me to combine them in different ways. Some can be mixed within the app and then the website with the cms structure (f.e. reveal or caroussel element).
Is it possible to automatically switch the images in the lightbox to the next image (e.g., with an adjustable timer)? > Timer On/Off Switch and & configurable Time

Where can I find the option to enter a video link to YouTube or other sites in the Component Inspector? I couldn’t find anything under Video, and under Media I can only insert a local file.
Take a look at this post. It should answer your question. Long story short, you have to put a link in a folder under your Resources from YouTube and then you drag the folder to Media.

I was so looking forward to the release of this component but even at the discounted price, it’s way too expensive for me @dan.
I’ve already built a gallery template global (see screenshot) which includes a number of separate galleries, each of these galleries contain 3 to 8 images. All I need is a way to add the caption, author, etc in the lightbox. $129 is way too expensive just for this ability even with the 25% discount. As others have said, if you priced it more reasonably you will make just as much money as you will sell more items.
I was waiting for this before making my definite move from Classic to Elements. I immediately purchased the Gallery believing that it would be like GalleryPro 3 for Classic, but I realized that it lacks the possibility to write custom captions for each image directly from Elements, which unfortunately makes it totally useless for me. It caters for photographers but not for artists. I guess, I’ll have to ask for a refund and wait some more before making the move. So sad.
It would make a great Adobe Lightroom plugin, but I imagine it would compete with Dreamweaver.

Following on from my previous questions, is there a way to make galleries private (eg behind a password)?
Is it possible for people to add comments to images or galleries? Could people potentially rate images and galleries, and could they ‘favourite’ images into their own collection? I don’t think I’ve seen a response to if Pro can be used in blog posts.
I’m sorry to harp on, but if this is aimed at professionals, these are the sort of things working photographers would see as useful, or necessary.
I see fewer and fewer peers displaying large galleries for public display, as they choose not to be AI scraped.
Apparently this is available in Grid mode:
“Auto: Preserves each image’s original aspect ratio within the grid.”
Could someone post a screen shot of this using portrait and landscape images on one page?

Hi @dan this is a more obvious screenshot. On a desktop the browser window can be any size you want and it would seem that the caption is tied to a position based on the bottom of the window rather than the bottom of the image/video in the lightbox. That’s fine on a device like a phone where the window is fixed but not so nice on a desktop/laptop where it isn’t.
