This is sad news and a great loss for the RapidWeaver community. Iāve also been using Johnās plugins for as long as I can remember ā maybe 8 or 9 years? Like @willwood , PlusKit and Sitemap+ have often been the first pages Iāve added to a project.
I hope that someone will be able to take over and continue to develop these plugins. John, if you happen to read this, thanks for your contributions to the RapidWeaver community, and I wish you all the best in whatever comes next!

A loss for sure, I havenāt used plus kit for quite a while but site map is on every site I build.
I too used Sitemap Plus for all my projectsā¦ I had every one of his plug-ins too. Thanks John for awesome work to our RW community!
No, no, no! I use Sitemap + for all my clientsā sites! No more Plus Kit?! No more Rapidblog?! And donāt anyone make like Tom Hanks and tell me thereās āNo crying in web design!ā
Well, I hope youāre moving on to better things, John. Best of luck!
And I echo those who ask āWill someone please take over Loghound?ā Joe Workman? Like you did with El-Stack-O?
Hey guys, if you read the post John made on his page, he was deciding what to do with them. Now, I know who has got them, and I can not WAIT to see what they do with these!! It will be awesome.
Oh, donāt ask. Not going to tell you who it is.
I am going to miss John as well. I remember chatting with him a lot on Twitter a while ago, specifically about baseball. God speed John!!
@zeebe, I just got a notice from Relamac and clicked to see what you posted. Now Iām gonna have a hard time sleeping thinking who got them, since you WONāT tell! I guess Iāll have to wait.
You have not mentioned the best example. Joe simply offered to customers of El-stacko to buy some of its stacks at a discount. The original stacks disappeared and so the help and tutorials ā¦
That is mainly because he had stacks that did the same thing. The tutorials where on the original site and we never got that info, so that was not our fault.
@tappo, Let me be a verbose parrot to @zeebe 's clarification (thanks, @zeebe)ā¦
I donāt mean that Joe Workman should take over the Loghound company but am wondering/wishing if he could buy the add-ons, develop them however he wishes, and support them. I certainly did not mean that Joe had taken over the entire El-Stack-O outfit. But I am grateful he offered some of the stacks I was using.
If a company folds up, then the productsā support and development would end and the website would close. So, the product customer/user has no to choice but to look for alternatives. Joe gave me and others the alternative to get stacks with similar (and improved) functionality as El-Stack-Oās at a discounted cost. Great! If Joe did not do that, then I would have had to look for replacement products from other developers at full price.
Joe had nothing to do with the fact that El-Stack-Oās original stacks and tutorials disappeared. El Presidente simply closed up shop.
Get the news here!!
@eagerweaver it is not all as you say ā¦ actually it was a sad history ā¦
However, I am happy that Isaiah has taken over Loghound, he is undoubtedly the most suitable to carry on Johnās work, (I hope he finds time to update all plugins).
Joe remains my favorite stacks developer (I have about 80 stacks from him).
To Isaiah the best wishes for the further task it has taken!
Iāve been using Rapidblog and Pluskit for years. They are soooo awesome and so reliable. Whenever I needed support, it was promptly given. So I have no complaints about John or Loghound. Iām just a bit sad that weāve come to the end of the road.
That said, the breaking of my Rapidblog integration to my Rapidweaver site is KILLING my business right now. Iām in between jobs and use my blog as writing examples to prospective employers and clients.
After stressing about it for a few days, I thought about dropping RW altogether and going on to WP. And then I came to my senses. The reason I use Rapidblog is because I believe it is a product used by and developed by a community of small businesses, professionals and entrepreneurs like myself. So while I really wish Loghound was still up and running, well I accept that that they closed shop even though I donāt like it.
I came here today and created an account to find a solution. Iām sooooo glad I found this thread. I think I can hang on for awhile until the Rapidblog plugin gets an update. Thanks for the great news and THANK YOU ISAIAH FOR SAVING MY SITE!
I have used loghound software in 40+ projects so very sad to hear this. Genuinely useful and powerful plug-ins. Many thanks John for your fantastic work over the years and great news that YourHead are taking the portfolio on-board
This is unfortunate, Loghoundās stacks were a staple part of many RW projects through the years. I wish John all the best and do hope all is well with him.
So, if we need to import a Weaverpix page into the main or extra content of a theme, or a subscription form into the sidebar, what do we switch to?
Ah, just saw the bit that Isaiah is taking over - wonderful! Glad to see these essential and very useful stacks in good hands. I think they are going to have a great future, thanks Isaiah!
