Ive had a commerce site up and running for a bout a year now selling digital downloads. its been working just fine for the last year ( I had some problems previously because I was still using rapidlink but since e going to rapid cart pro and AWS its been fine). A couple of days ago a buyer paid for a set of music and Paypal took the moneyed sent it to me. I got an email to say the customer had purchased it but the automatic delivery of the download link failed and I had to manually send them the files by email. now I keep receiving emails from PayPal saying
Please check your server that handles PayPal Instant Payment Notifications (IPN). Instant Payment Notifications sent to the following URL(s) are failing:
and that if I don’t sort it IPNs will be disabled. I think the IPNs are what tells the site to send out the download links but I’m not entirely sure.
I have since tested the site with friends and family and they have all successfully purchased items and received their downloads so I don’t know what this message means or how to fix it.
