RapidTemplate4 is now available. If you followed this thread - How to build a site like the new RapidWeaver7 site then the rapidTemplate that this was developed into is now available. In summary, that thread proved that a site just like the new Realmac one could be built accurately and quick using the Webdeersign RapidTemplate system.
The initial design has been totally reorganised with new content and also enhanced in a few areas, and is now available as RapidTemplate4. No content, images, colours or icons have been used from the original demo site, yet it remains a site that is somewhat similar in “style” to the RM site and will be useful to anyone hoping to build a site in similar style to the RM site. Additional full page animations have ben added together with a transparent Magellan menu and many other fine detail improvements.
Where possible, the best “Off the shelf” free stacks have been used. In addition S4S’s excellent StackSlider has been used as a Slider and modified with some styling changes. Any other Slider could be used but the styling is specific to the StackSlider.
The Template is essentially a long single page site, but could be converted to a conventional site using a navigation system such as Top Bar. In addition there is a Font and Text page that shows many of the possible text configurations as well as the best selection of Google Fonts. The text is Fontpro ready with Vault support for all text.
For anyone wishing to make the jump from using Themes to the next level, this is an ideal way to do it.
To use the Template all that is needed is Stacks3, a free blank theme and some free (donation ware) stacks. Our PADDY stacks suite has been increased with new functions and 2 more new stacks bringing the total to 13 stacks in the suite. Of course the Template is RW6 and RW7 ready.
All images, icons, backgrounds, etc., are packaged as a warehouse folder and the Template contains full documentation to make the Template as easy as possible for new Stacks users wishing to make the jump from themes. The Template is also perfect to be used within Foundation.
