Rapirdweaver force mac fonts on arabic text

@joeworkman
arabic is rtl , markdown is only ltr , i have to rework all alignment and direction after doing just one article , it will be easier if that bug that make all this hard and force some mac fonts to be fixed

I know it’s RTL. I did not take the time to swap my theme to use the RTL version. My point was made though… It does work in Markdown.

The way Styled Text functions will never be fixed. At least don’t expect it to be anytime soon. If you want better control, then you have to stop using it. That is your only option.

@joeworkman its work fine with english , it should work fine with arabic or japanese or other language , its just a bug that making rapidweaver acting wierd with other language , and i think with current stage of rapidweaver it should be easey to fix .

I know that you want to use the Styled Text. But it’s obviously has shortcomings that you don’t want. I’ve offered a valid solution. It’s now up to you if you want to implement it.

Also consider:

For Arabic Text in RW

What I’ve been using is the Text stack

With Text stack, Align Right and side margin of 35px

Look here @chapter: Your enemy

-half way down @chapter: ”Your enemy”

@OmarKN
it will still force arabic giza fonts , its hard to reformat

@OmarKN

i found the problem is on your page , you will not be able to use other fonts for stack , like defualt fonts for foundry or font pro unless u use html stack

hmm, you’re right - if there is no other way, then you could still edit the HTML (with an HTML editor outside RW) and replace <span… GeezaPro…> with for example Bagdad etc.

And upload the new fond.

A bit tedious but should be possible, good luck.

PS: Which font do you like more than GeezaPro?

Or the Markdown stack. The Markdown stack is a much better way to do this.
