RW 8 Registration error & crashes

I have had constant issues with RW8 after upgrading from 7…

First is the registration. When I paste the number in, I get the super loud celebration sound & congrats. The program then seems to work, though with some other glitches (unfound resources from files I have been using in 7, regular crashes etc).
But if I close RW when I open it again, same issue I have to find the serial & re-enter again.

Anyone have any idea about how to resolve this? I can’t see that it is a common issue at all.

Update in case it helps others:
I deleted the app, installed an older version (8.3) and registered after cancelling the auto update.

This worked (tested by restarting the app) then checked for updates. Now running current version and it is not asking for registration each time.
