RW Backup - before or after active publish?

One for @dan or someone else from RM I guess. I have the backup option ticked. As I’m uploading my changes, the backup progress bar seems to indicate it’s starting to back up. So my question is this.

Is Rapidweaver backing up the very latest version of my site (including the changes I’m uploading right now) or is it backing up the previous version?

Yes, it should be uploading a backup of the project file in its current state.
