RW8 Font Awesome in Foundation Top Bar Navigation issue

Since RW8 if I try to add a FA icon to a Nav Menu Item in Top Bar it mis-aligns to the top instead of centre - see screengrab. Also, page name turns to a question mark in the Inspector - which is not editable. Any ideas?

I get the question mark followed be the test Home in the page list. But I’m not getting the misalignment.

I put in the code suggested by Joe in his flexible nav post:

<i class=“fa fa-home fa-2x hide-for-small”> Home</i>

Removing the hide-for-small rectifies things. Minor point: the icon and ‘Home’ text are slightly misaligned - as I’ve noticed many times. Any idea how to rectify this?
