Safari Pinned Tab vs. Favicon

I had added a Classic Favicon. After some troubles with the Safari Pinned Tab I today added one of those, too. After republishing all files I can see that the favicon is loaded:

However, the tab doesn’t show an icon anymore which it did before doing the svg file:

Am I doing something wrong here? This is Safari on High Sierra. The second tabsheet is my website at www.mothsoftware.com .

I’m taking a guess here because I am just an iOS device at the moment. But did you delete the favicon? You need both. Favicon for the url address and tab line and SVG for the favorites icon.

no, got both icons. The favicon shows up nicely in Chrome.

Try clearing the cache and restarting Safari?
