Setting Up Forms - Can’t Seem to get it working - Dan was absolutely amazing at setting up my site in the latest dev video - VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!! Thank you…

Don’t want to bother him.. Tried the online manual for elements and entered the fields - can’t seem to get it working - Help

Wait for the update we’re shipping later today, it has some new form fixes in that should get things working for you.

If it doesn’t then we can start diagnosing what the issue is, but fingers crossed today’s update will help. Should be out in the next few hours…

Also, don’t worry about bothering me, I’m here to help

update didnt work for me…erased everything on server and re published all files.

Hi @MichaelDroste,

In your screenshot I noticed you have encryption set to “None”. Try changing it to TLS since you’re using port 587, then enter the email address for your thelastsparktrilogy.com account in the Username field.

Your mac.com email address won’t work there, it needs to be an email address you’ve set up for your domain name thelastsparktrilogy.com, something like contact@thelastsparktrilogy.com. If you don’t have an email for that domain, you can usually set one up in your web hosting control panel.

Then enter the email password for that contact@thelastsparktrilogy.com email address in the Password field.

Under the Email Settings, the FROM address needs to be the same as the address in the Username field, so contact@thelastsparktrilogy.com if using my above example.

Let us know if you continue having trouble after getting all the above correctly entered and published.

Also, happy Cake Day. :shortcake: :slightly_smiling_face:

I was hoping not to set up new emails :frowning:

and all my sites… 10 new emails???

what is another option? Please

You shouldn’t need to use 10 different email addresses. If all of your websites are hosted on the same account, you can select just one of them as the primary SMTP server and use those details for all your forms.

I’m not sure if Apple allows people to use their outgoing mail server for form submissions if you are wanting to use your mac.com email address, however you could give it a try :slightly_smiling_face:

Try the SMTP information for the outgoing iCloud Mail server settings.

that didnt work for me

I noticed you’re having trouble getting the form to work @Godber. If you want to jump on a Zoom call we can try and troubleshoot live as I’d need to check out your mail settings in your web hosting control panel.

If you want to schedule something feel free to drop me an email at support@realmacsoftware.com and I’ll get it scheduled.
