Small jp2 images (100kb) get replaced by large png’s (1.8 - 5.0mb) when I publish the site - why?

Need more info if we’re to help.

Are you using Stacks or standard RW pages?
How are you adding images to the page?
Have you got a URL you can share?

Rob

Thanks Rob,

I am using Stacks with the Tesla Pro theme - lightbox selected off. I am creating small jp2 pics and dragging/dropping them into image windows within a stacks box, then publishing. The URL is www.flightvectors.com and the images that continually get replaced are the 5 in a row pics of Folding Posters in the third set of images down from the top - i.e. under the strap ‘New product - 18 panel 2 sided laminated training posters’. I am probably doing something daft, but I don’t know what it is. It does the same with ordinary jpeg pics too.

Peter.

You sure the originals are JPGs? Here’s what the Stacks manual says.

"Image
The Image stack creates a placeholder where you can drag one image. Image stacks accept any valid image format, including JPEG, PNG, TIFF, GIF, animate GIF, and Photoshop files, among others. JPEG, PNG, GIF, and animated GIFs are, by default, exported in their original format. All other formats are exported as PNG, by default. However, you can change the export type

You can use an Image stack to do basic image editing including resizing, rotating and adding borders and drop-shadows."

Otherwise, could be one for @isaiah

Rob

Thanks Rob, I’ll explore those options and report.

With kind regards,

Peter Bruce.
