Using the latest RWC 9.3.4 & Stacks 5.3.0.
Google SEO complains that some of my photos are too large in .jpg and suggests .webp compression instead.
Fine no problem, but Stacks converts .webp files to huge .png files instead. Useless. Stacks 5.3.0 is not good enough for a modern website with many photos.
Is there a .webp stack for Stacks 5.3.0 that doesn’t convert to .png?
I hope RW Elements will solve this problem.
I found this stack - Srcerer | Shaking the Habitual
Has anyone tried it?
Why not just reduce the size of your .jpg files? You can reduce the sizes of a batch of images with Preview: How to quickly resize multiple images at once on Mac.
That’s what I have been doing and it works fine - the files remain as .jpg on my site.

I use realmac squash and I reduce the photos often jpg 30% but then they don’t look so good. When using webp I get smaller files and much better quality. Using jpg is old style according to Google SEO.
