Something PRO happened: RapidCart Pro is here!

Thanks I will study it

Hi,

Regarding Date and Time, it’s up to where server is, isn’t it. I am using Godaddy but I’m in Sydney, Australia, so is my customer. Date and Time shown in shopfront and cart still incorrect. All configuration is for Sydney, Australia. Please advise.

Thanks,

Hi Rob,

Date is incorrect even though Setting is right. As you see, the calendar is incorrect. Date 18/2/16 should be Thursday but it shows Friday. Lot of customers complained. Setting is for Sydney, Australia.

Thanks,
Miti

That’s strange. Do you have a live example?

Yes, please go to BBThai.com.au.

BTW, I also has problems with email as well. I am a Thai Takeaway and need a speed for taking orders. I used to accept Paypal but I have to change payment method since sometimes orders came late 20-30 min and lately didn’t come at all. Paypal was approved and I saw payments but NO email orders coming together. It’s not every orders but some orders could make you headache and looked unprofessional. I have changed from Gmail to Yahoo and now iCloud. It worked perfect for a while and then Whoosh… I knew there was a problem when customers called the shop and asking for their foods.

Once again, your software is good and my configuration was correct. When I tested with several PC, Mac and iPhone, it worked well until customers called. Last night there was an order came to me 40 min after ordering which was 20 min after my shop closed. I had to call the customer to apologise him. How can he come back to ordering from my website again?

Thanks,
Miti

I confirm the problem.
We are working on a fix right now.

For the email problem, order receipts are promptly sent at purchase/confirmation. There’s no delay. If you receive them, it means that RapidCart is properly configured and the problem is somewhere else.
Please keep in mind that iCloud service has a not-configurable (and sometimes faulty) gray listing. Emails are often kept on hold to prevent Spam. Depending on SMTP used, it could pass hours before receiving them.
You should investigate with your hosting provider. Using same server as sender and addressee (Gmail > Gmail) usually fixes the problem.
If you want a more reliable way to receive orders, you should save orders in Database (available in RapidCart Pro Advanced only).

Thanks for your reply. I’ll try the database one.

One more thing to ask if you can. Can you please add minimum order for delivery in RCP? It will make my life much easier.

Cheers,
Miti

Order minimum is in our to-do list.
In the meantime, though a “trick”, you could add a order handling fee below a given amount.

@miti Not really a bug. It’s only a typo in the default localization. You need to move Sun token to first position in the Customization > Localization > Date & Time > Weekdays field.

Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry for keep asking you regarding email question. I got an order today which was ordered around 11am, my time, yet no email came to my Yahoo inbox. However, I can check order on MySQL Admin. You know that email order came to me at 5.11pm in Junk inbox. I am so frustrated about this.

Do you think that applying for paid email, like GoDaddy email service, will solve this problem?

Unfortunately email is not a always reliable service.
We ourselves experienced some problems with order receipts sent to our iCloud address a week ago.
I suggest you to use the same email server for both your SMTP and address which you want to receive orders to.
For example smtp.google.com sending orders to orders@gmail.com.
