Timelines again

I am looking for a stack (or other means) to help me with creating horizontal band timelines. I have seen them on web sites in the past but cannot, of course, find an example now I need one.

The idea is to have a scrolling history from preglacial times to the present, moving along the bottom of the page, which follows one theme and then other histories in bands above, so that key events can then link to other pages which describe them. The bands being relevant to different interests, to make it less congested but even one band might do.

I honestly have no clue how to do this. I saw a previous, now extinct discussion on the subject but the term timeline tends to more often relate to a vertical string of events, often to do with blogs. I could not find anything which worked following that thread. Any thoughts or advice would be very welcome. Thanks. Drew

Might want to check out what’s offered on the RapidWeaver community site. Just did a search for timeline

Try Shaking the Habitual’s Inverter stack, might be close to what you are looking for. Allows the page to scroll horizontally rather than vertically, there is a couple of good examples on the site.

https://www.onelittledesigner.com/rapidweaver-stack/responsive-timeline/ does horizontal well, and is a fine looking thing, too.
