We want you Element questions for tomorrow's video!

Hey Weavers,

I thought it might be fun to answer some questions on tomorrow’s DevDiary video, so…

If you want anything demoed or have specific question about RapidWeaver Elements post them below and I’ll do my best to answer them in tomorrow’s video.

Cheers,
Dan

P.S. Previous Element Dev Diary videos can be found over on our YouTube channel.

Okay… here goes:

  1. Can you provide any information yet about how themes/templates will work with Elements? Both working with them and making and distributing them.
  2. How lightweight are pages/sites created with Elements? How ‘mobile friendly’ are they, and how to they stack up on Lighthouse?
  3. To date the demos have always used small amounts of text, what is the text editing experience like in Elements for longer form, multi-paragraph/heading documents?
  4. Will we be able to add embedded documents such as those from Hype or Keyshape into Elements?
  5. Will it be possible to enter raw and #referenced SVG directing into a document without having to use an img tag, so that they can be styled via CSS?
  6. Anyword on potential pricing and/or a possible release date?

I’m wondering what kind of SEO functionality will be built into Elements out of the box. Metatag generation, automatic canonical page determination, sitemap generation?

I think it would be interesting to go over how developing elements for Elements will work. For example, if an aspiring addon developer wants to get into developing elements to sell on the Marketplace, how would they go about getting started? And for existing addon developers that are wanting to expand their product offerings by bringing their stacks to elements, what will that process look like?
