Animated colour selection / central image change

I need to set up something like this: http://www.tuttifruttify.com/en/froyo/ any suggestions?

The ‘fruit selection’ on the right doesn’t work but should be similar to the section on the left, i.e. rollover the ‘topping’ will highlight it, click will add it to the top

I bet you could get close with Sections Pro and Sections Box but I wouldn’t like to hazard a guess as to how!
