I’m just getting started with RW. Is there a way to change the header image on stock themes?

I think, I believe it worked for RapidWeaver 5.
With most stock themes you can replace the header image with your own image. Most developers have a tutorial for this. If not ask the developer how to change the image. Some developers (me too) have free trial versions of themes which gives you an idea of how adding your own images.

I’m not a developer or anything, but if you’re getting started, I’d seriously recommend looking at some additional themes from other developers. You’ll save a lot of frustration and you’ll get a much better idea of what Rapidweaver is capable of.
Threefold does some great ones that are free and based on his paid for themes. They’ll give you more of an idea and be much more fun. have a look in the add-ons section to see what takes your fancy.
