Welcome to the world of Gatekeeper and the evermore “lockdowned” macOS. I grant access to Reputable Apps from trusted developers for any of those ridiculous access questions that gatekeeper throws out. I have no reason to trust Apple to protect me or my computer, I assess who I trust. But to each their own.
Those aren’t App settings, they weren’t App messages. MacOS’s gatekeeper put those messages out and is who is blocking access. If app developers can’t “override” what the gatekeeper is blocking. Now that’s no excuse for them not to get back to you, and it’s been a while since I had to contact Panic on a support issue. My experience with them was excellent, we resolved a trusted host file issue in less than a couple of hours.
Anyway, the question really should have been to Apple support, it’s gatekeeper causing the problem. Panic should have referred you there or at least answered your question. You can dig through System Preferences > Security & Privacy and figure out what accesses need to be changed.
I’d probably just completely uninstall the app and then reinstall it since it’s a new unused app.
Thank-you for your assistance and for the instructions on uninstalling Transmit, so I can start that over. I walked away and that night and the following day we were without power, internet, and cable… for 18.5 hours!
So yesterday, I started a whole new project. I discovered I could copy the sections, like the galleries, etc. from one project to the other, so I’m working on recreating the entire site.
I wonder if I had just made so many changes while I was trying to figure out how to use RW, that I messed something up. I had discovered that some of the functions no longer worked if I hadn’t done a save, so I just kept saving, closing RW and coming back. None of the “code” I had added to the project section was working, so I didn’t recreate any of that.
The new one is working correctly so far. Just a tedious process reloading and re-linking all those photos, but at least I don’t have to redo the captions. I’ll let you know when the new site is up in case you have any feedback.
One last challenge. I need to have a navigation link that has children that are links to .pdf files instead of a web page. Haven’t seen anything in the forum, nor in the documentation. Any ideas? So close I can taste it. LOL. What I’m trying to recreate is the Articles dropdown menu here: http://kitsapphotographyguild.com
