Does Google recognise a container holding my data?

I am using the Tiger theme and all data is contained in the tags in a container '

. My question is does Google and other search engines recognise this container
and it’s contents? I have had my website up for a few weeks now and it is not recognised by Google. The website is 'park-my-motorhome.co.uk.

Thanks in anticipation

Did you registered your website in Google Webmasters Tools?

Google “sees” your site (see screen shot) but that doesn’t necessarily translate into ranking in search.

If you would like to get an idea of what Google has seen for your site, do a search for your site URL, select the arrow next to your URL:

2017-09-19_13-21-30

It will Then show an option that reads Cached, select that:
2017-09-19_13-22-07

You will see what Google has in Cached (what they will index) for your URL including the date scanned and an option to see a text version.

If you select the text version you will get an idea of the "words, " and “phrases” Google may associate with that URL:

As Scott points out, it won’t tell you where on the SERP (search engine results page) you will show up, but it can give some clues.

Hi guys

Thanks so much for your help. I now know a little more about Google searches. For a general Motorhome parking search it’s nowhere to be seen at least on the first 20 pages and who goes that far? And Jannis I am now registered. Thanks for that.

A zillion others are also wanting their motorhome site listed at top so you are in a battle. Google likes lot’s of appropriate (related and meaningful) content and lots of updates. They like to see that people read the site and return to the site. They like to see it mobile friendly, etc, etc, etc, etc, etc… You could read for years about how to make your site appear at the top of return results and still not have too much luck. Focus on building a clean, fast, modern, usable website.
