I’ve just done a website for my local community centre and registered the domain www.lanchestercc.co.uk . The problem is when I try to type the domain in the google search bar (as many people do), it doesn’t seem to find the domain.
Is there something I can do about this? I haven’t listed the page with Google as I’ve read the this shouldn’t be necessary. The domain was only registered yesterday.
You should use the Google Webmaster Tools to add your domain, this will speed up the process. Add all four instances (http, https, www and non-www addresses urls) and a Sitemap link.
