Dynamic DNS service

what is Dynamic DNS? and is this service something beneficial outside of just having a domain name and a hosting provider?

So what is the added value to having a service providing dynamic dNS? Does it have anything to do with a website?

My experience with Dynamic DNS would allow you to self-host. Most ISP’s change your IP address as needed (sometimes called renew lease). Providers such as No-IP or DNSdynamic, will keep track of your IP address and update the DNS record.

Then if you plan to use a hosting service, you do not need to invest in a dynDNS service?

Host providers should take care of your DNS.
