Get the Update

Elements should prompt you while it’s running to let you know there’s an update. If it doesn’t, you can select the “Check for Updates…” menu option from the “Elements” app menu.

Please note: Sometimes it takes a while for the update to propagate. If you don’t see the update in-app, you can download the latest build of Elements from the confirmation email you received, as that link will ALWAYS give you the latest version.

Give Feedback

If you are using the beta, please post all feedback in the Elements Beta Feedback Forum. You can use the Elements > Send Feedback… menu item to automatically pre-fill the build number into a new topic.

Request a Feature

You can help make Elements even better by sharing your suggestions and voting on others.

Please remember to search before posting as it may have already been suggested. If your idea is already listed, you might want to upvote it. The more votes an idea gets the sooner it’ll get implemented.

Can I join the Beta?

We’re not taking on any more beta testers at this time; however, you should sign up here to be notified as more places become available.

Nice work on the workspaces. Now, under Manage Workspaces we need renaming, plus I’d like to see Save as Default on This Machine. Why that latter bit? Because of moving between laptop and desktop. Be nice if Elements knew which machine I was working on and changed my workspace accordingly.

Hi @dan : another incredible update !!

I found this bug: When the inspector is moved to the bottom of the screen, the segments no longer expand. When you then choose the default settings, the inspector is returned to its original position, but the segments still cannot be expanded.

Similar issues here when I try to rearrange the user interface. Can’t expand them anymore. And I can’t even manually resize the canvas after changing the UI. Restarting Elements helps though.

@dan : another bug.

When the bottom section is resized, it doesn’t move gradually. When you try to enlarge it to see more code, the panel jumps all the way to the top of the screen. It’s not possible to reduce the section size by dragging the slider downwards.

Update: I discovered the show/hide inspector in the top and that works fine.

  • Removed Collapse from Visibility options as it’s only applicable to Tables.

was this supposed to be removed or am I reading this wrong

Hmmm. When I select Check for updates…, I see this error message.

OK, tried again and the update works.

Thanks @Bartje, we can reproduce the issue here and will get it fixed. In the meantime, if you switch pages, the inspector should start to work again :+1:

Component updates accidentally didn’t get included in Beta 30, they will be in Beta 31 due out this evening!

Thanks for the report, we’ll get this all fixed up!

Beta 31 (due this evening) should fix the canvas resize issue, in the meantime you can just switch pages and the inspector will start working again.

For now, you can use the Save As… function and delete the older one. Not ideal, but it works!
