Error message when using Shutter stack

Hi There

I am in the process of updating a site from using Gallery Stack v3.14.0 to Shutter V1.0.1
using latest Rapidweaver Classic

however when I try to move from edit to preview I get the error message below

Notice : fread(): read of 8192 bytes failed with errno=21 Is a directory in /Applications/Rapidweaver-8 and Classic/Rapidweaver Classic -June-2

also get this error message

with Shutter Stack, do you mean the Shutter Stack from Elixir Graphics? If yes, I would not go that way, as Elixir has shut down and there is no support or further development for this stack anymore.

Additionally this Stack was discontinued before Elixir shut down and a reason that was mentioned that it created lots of support effort.

@WeaverPixel just beat me to it - I would advise to not use Shutter anymore for the reasons he mentions.

Thank you both for your feedback. I fully appreciate what you say about shutter and feel quite annoyed that something I paid for came out of support so soon after.

But questions,

1: Do you think that shutter is causing the error messages is received?

2: Do either of you have any recommendations as a replacement, especially if one was able to self populated the image title from the file name.

Hi @rapidbernardos58,

  1. I’m not sure. One of the paths in the error message mentions “GALLERY” - but then again that’s such a common word to describe what both Gallery 3 and Shutter do that it’s by no means certain that Gallery 3 causes the issue. It could very well be Shutter. Perhaps @instacks can shed a light on this?

  2. Photo Pro ($80, Weaver’s Space) can populate a gallery using files present in a folder that you specify in that stack’s settings.

That looks like a RW preview server issue to me.

Have you tried restarting RapidWeaver? If that does not work, I would recommend restarting your Mac.

Let me know how you get on.
