FTP Novice - Help totally lost!

I uploaded RW site first time but, had issues. I managed to get to cPanel at A2 Hosting and found file structure as shown - screen print. My site has only two pages with limited content but, I am not sure what all the files/folders are. I was expecting ONLY /public.html folder only!

Can any explain what are minimum folders I should ahve for two pages with minimum content.

Thanks in advance
Jilo

Hi Zahir and welcome to the forum,

I don’t have an account at a2 Hosting, but my guess is is you are to publish to the public_html folder.

You didn’t give us a screenshot of the publishing setings, but it appears that you published up one level. You have a rw_common folder(this is where rapidweaver stores some stuff) and both an index.html and a sitemap.xml file at the same level as the 1public_html` folder.

Might have a look here:
https://www.a2hosting.com/kb/getting-started-guide/publishing-your-web-site/publishing-your-web-site-with-rapidweaver

keep in mind that RapidWeaver will not delete anything.

HI

Thanks for the prompt response - attached is what I have setup on RW FTP

I through that when I setup /public.html inside this folder is the index.html

I through this is all what I need to get site to work?

PS on the screen shot, I have tried both /public.html AND public.html and no difference

Okay,

From the instructions (step 6), it says to use public_html without a / at the front and with a _ not a . between public and html.

YOU ARE A GENIUS AND MADE MY DAY - THIS IS MY FIRST WEBSITE EVER!!!

Thanks

Now I have to develop the site.

You certainly made old man happy.

One more questions; I was planning to host to sites, lets say websiteA.com and websiteB.com, how would I set this up in PATH section please?

I delete all the files and this is what the structure looks like now - 09

That something I can’t answer. That varies from hosting company and as I said I don’t have any account at A2.
Hopefully someone else will come along and help, in the meantime you could try and find it in the knowledge base. The link above has a search field. A2 also has support people that probably can help.

You have been most helpful and I really appreciate it. As a newby, its sometimes difficult to even explain the question!

Have a nice day
