First off I would probably set the backup frequency in your publishing settings to Never for now. That will speed up the process, you site has a lot of images and that can be time-consuming to back up.
The blue dot means the page has changed and needs to be republished.
Next you need to provide a screenshot of the publishing settings screen. We need to see things like method, Connections, path etc. to help you out here.
Try to publish the site to a local folder just to check to see if there might be some problems in generating the site. You can also use that in a pinch with a standalone FTP app. Your host has some info on using FIlezilla.

Thats what I thought. And was surprised when after upgrading to RW 8 that they were all flagged

I guess the upgrade to RW8 caused everything to be marked as changed.
Try removing the slash / from the path and then hit the Browse button next to the path. You should get a list of files and folders, look for a folder named public_html and select that one.
From your host company:
NOTE: In order for your website to appear it must be uploaded to the public_html folder, unless you are uploading files for an addon domain in a different folder.
The reason I’m suggesting you use the browse button is that sometimes you need a preceding or trailing slash. If you use browse and select RW takes care of figuring out that for you.
I’d also set the backup frequency to Never for now. Once you get publishing working then change it back and republish all files.
Not sure what you mean by BU? Is that shorthand for backup?
I’d suggest you stop worrying about the backup of the project file that occurs as part of the publishing. I would have set the backup frequency to Never until you figure out the publishing issue you are having.
You can zip and copy project file manually, that’s all the backup does for you.
When you say that the backup hung on one page was that during local publishing? Again, let’s turn off the backups for now and work through one problem at a time. If you can’t publish successfully to a local folder, you’ll never be able to publish to the host.
As for the blue dots, don’t worry about them right now, they can be turned on and off manually if you need to.
Peter, I’ve just taken over a site hosted by Zen and when I compare my RW publishing settings with yours, I see you have an email address in the Username field.
The details I was given show that the username should be the number including the c, so in you case, that should be c0007909
Also, the path should by /public_html and not the root directory /
When you click on ‘Browse’ in the publishing settings, you will be able to see (or choose) where you are uploading the site to. I can see my uploaded site in /public_html
You still have that backup set to every time you publish? Set it to None while you are testing. The ‘blue dots’ you see mean that the page has changes that need to be uploaded to the server. The ‘Backup’ zips up your whole RW project and saves it on the server. It’s nothing to do with publishing, it’s there if you ever want to recover the project file if your computer explodes and you haven’t kept a local copy on an external drive.
Didn’t you get any documentation from Zen showing your FTP settings?
Can you access your Zen account via the Zen cPanel?
I think we’ve done as much as we can here, if you still can’t get it to work, then you will need to contact Zen for help.
Thanks you for your help - Noted re blue dots and I have found out how to disable them if needed. Upgrading to v8 of RW sets them all ON so whilst testing my upload I have just set one page to go to the server
Re cPanel I am aware and have looked at it but a long time ago.
Better let you have some peace from me - so thanks again for trying…
