Help RW crashes

OK here it goes;

Lost the cart icon and RW was flakey, getting flakeyer.
I wiped RW and all the folders I could find. Redownloaded latest RW6. Can’t get the register window to show. The update window is finicky, sometimes it shows and sometimes not.
When I select any project RW instantly crashes. Even the samples.

Not sure what you “whipped”. You said you downloaded latest RW 6 but crash report shows RW 7. Don’t think that is causing the crash, you should still be able to run rapidweaver in trial mode.

Might want to contact RealMac support.

I trashed all files I could find that said ‘realmac’ . I have tried both RW6 and now RW7. I’m thinking it is something other than RW but I do not know what. The weird is after trying to open a project RW6 crashes on startup. If I trash the prefs it opens again, but wont open any projects not even the sample ones???

Make sure you have properly uninstalled RW: Quote from Nik Fletcher:

If you want to remove RapidWeaver, and all addons, you can:

  1. Move the RapidWeaver.app file to the Trash.
  2. Locate the ~/Library/Containers/com.realmacsoftware.rapidweaver6 folder and move that to the Trash.
  3. If you do #2, you must immediately restart your Mac.
  4. Seriously: you must restart your Mac - the Container folder is managed by the system and you will be unable to re-enter your serial numbers when you reinstall RapidWeaver.
  5. Have you restarted your Mac? If so, good. Now’s the time to download RapidWeaver: http://realmacsoftware.com/rapidweaver/#releasenotes17
  6. Assuming you’ve restarted your Mac in #3, launch RW and start afresh.

Note: I know I’ve repeated myself a few times about the restarting of your Mac when removing the RapidWeaver container folder. But you absolutely must in order for OS X to recreate that location when you relaunch a fresh download of RapidWeaver.

An of course make sure you have any serial numbers to hand…

OK;

Have done the above several times.
RW will not register. The option to register is in the menu but selecting it does nothing. No window appears.
It still crashes whenever I try to open ANY project???

In desperation I installed RW6 on a different computer.
Installs and registers fine. No crashes.

BTW; How do I register Rapid Cart 3??? I have forgotten.
Need that to get the cart working

If that all installs then a test publish to a hidden directory.

Fingers crossed

Ok the other computer I found the register button on the RC pages but the test site still does not have a functioning cart
