Hide sitemap page from navigation?

(Rob Mustard) #1

Hi, folks. This is a question about the sitemap page (the html version, not the xml) that RW produces. I don’t see a lot of utility or benefit to the web page for human users, even when you pretty it up a bit with a header and footer. If the html page is hidden from the navigation menus, will the SEO benefits of the xml file still work?

Or, if you have thoughts and/or opinions about why I should have a visible sitemap page on my web site, please let me know!

Thanks, folks.

Yes, ut will still be seen by google, but what really counts is that XML file
