How does RW identify a Site Image?

I have 20 thumb images which I am using to launch 20 lightboxes. Each thumb also appears in its related lightbox - but about 5x the size.

However, I am finding that a few of the lightboxes are showing a small thumb image, and I’m guessing this is because RW isn’t accepting the bigger image because it regards it as a duplicate. If so, why is it only happening to a few instances and not all?

In general, should RW recognise that 2 images with the same file name are in fact different because one is larger?

Are you talking about the stacks SiteImage stack?

That would probably be a stacks question not RapidWeaver @isaiah?

Yes - sorry should have clarified. It’s the site image that creates automatically when you drag an image in.
